Ashtari Carpets is proud to have won the public tender for the prestigious City Hall of Antwerp, where we designed and produced seven exceptional hand-knotted rugs, including a magnificent staircase runner.
This project was a collaboration with the brilliant minds of Studio Lommer and Jente Hendrickx, combining timeless craftsmanship with modern elegance.
The staircase runner is a striking yet subtle feature, guiding visitors gracefully up the stairs while complementing the grandeur of the building.

In addition, the other six rugs are strategically placed throughout the City Hall, enhancing the beauty of key spaces such as the Wedding Room, the first-floor Pui Zuid, Pui Zuid Vestibule, the Big Saloon, and the Major Cabinet.
Ashtari Carpets created a stunning wedding runner for the wedding room in Antwerp City Hall, measuring an impressive 1100 cm in length!
The weddigrunner is crafted from a blend of natural wool and nettle. The yellow lines woven into the design allow the carpet to harmonize perfectly with the wedding room's decor. The enchanting light in the room adds to the dreamy atmosphere, captivating everyone present.

From concept to installation, Ashtari Carpets managed the entire process, overseeing the production phases in Nepal and ensuring each rug perfectly aligned with the design vision.
